WOW!!! larry really knows his stuff! i got to meet him and talk to him in person this weekend. endyn had a booth set up at the import spring nationals at englishtown newjersey. he was a very nice guy and would talk to you or answer questions all day if you wanted. he had the jrsc that he modified along with one that was unmodified there. you could pick them up and look at them all you want. they were disasembled to see the mods better. i asked him a million questions about porting them and how to go about doing it. i finally understand what he means about the timing on the jrsc. even though he explained it all i now know i could never match the quality he does!!! i am going to send him the blower to get it retimed and ported but the s-tube and manifold i feel confident doing myself. from what he says the jrsc isn't a very well made supercharger or at least not for making large amounts of power. to get it to make any power w/o porting it requires water injection(WHICH HE IS HIGHLY AGAINST)or nitrous to keep the intake charge cool because of the higher boost you need to run. with his mods you can run 17lbs of boost w/out using anything to cool the intake charge. the jrsc in stock form is made to be bolted on and left alone. it has holes in the blower case to keep the wine of the blower to a minimum but this makes the supercharger less efficiant. this is so you can use the blower on passenger cars w/o making to much noise larry says. his mods fill in the holes. larry does more than remove metal he adds metal to the blower case to make it more efficiant. his mods make it run 40% cooler. at 17lbs of boost the heat is equal to 9lbs. i could talk all day about him and his mods but me explaining them is only as good as his articals. you really need to see them in person.

    Talking

So his blower mods actually make the jrsc louder eh?

Damn, between that and considering the 3" kamakazi, I'm thinking one of my future mods will also be earplugs.

(besides the fact I find my car marginally acceptable noise-wise already)

Sweet! You have to tell me more about the material removal and the timing.

Does he use Devcon or some other sort of epoxy to fill in the holes and smooth the exit triangle into the square mounting flange or does he actually weld aluminum in?

How exactly are the rotors timed? Center to Center of the lobes or make it so one lobe is opening just as one is closing?

Did he let you take any pictures?

    Come on man, spill it!

i checked out his jrsc as well as the weisco pistons that he(reworks, has custom made) and the head work he does. did you notice the small bumps on the intake side of the head? they are to make a better air fuel mixture. he is all about efficiancy! he said he will custom port your head wether you are n/a,supercharged,or turbo. he will customize the porting to give you max power. he needs to know your exact setup from the cams you are using to how many lbs of boost. what header or manifold or compression ratio.... he will definately give you the most bang for the buck!! he truly knows his stuff!!!

I believe that it is the Type R manifold rework that Larry does.
